by morho
In collaboration with RCA, DocHeads and Fest Anca
Art / Slovak & British films / Seeds of music
Venue: Red Gallery, 3 Rivington Street, EC2A 3DT
Entry: Free
“Mor Ho!” Collective would like to invite you to a weeklong event consisting of a group exhibition, film screenings and seeds of music. The interlinking theme and inspiration source is “rural” – something that is outside of the urban (dis)comfort zone.
The exhibition will present collaboration between “Mor ho!” Collective and MA Photography students from the Royal College of Art. Most of the works shown here came into existence during a collective retreat to a farm called La Trousse in Burgundy.
Three film nights will offer a mixture of Slovak & British films consisting of three different genre evenings. The first evening will be devoted to Czechoslovak New Wave Cinema, the second to animation and the third evening to documentaries; all curated through collaboration with various partners.
During the opening and closing nights there will be music provided by “Mor Ho!” Collective members, friends and special guests.
Exhibition (Saturday 27th July – Friday 2nd August)

The main part of the work shown in the exhibition came into existence during an escape to the French countryside. Most of the artists have spent ten days on a farm called La Trousse in Burgundy. At this isolated location, they explored the romantic influences and worked both around and within the limitations of their environment.
Exhibiting artists:
Alix Marie, Tereza Zelenkova, Petra Kubisova, Katarina Hruskova, Peter Watkins, Lucia Scerankova and Marian Grolmus
Film Nights
Come float into ‘rural’ through our selection of award winning Slovakian and British films chosen in collaboration with DocHeads and Fest Anca. Spread over three days, on each of the evenings there are different genres, such as fiction, animation and documentary. We also invited few directors to share their experiences with you. Here is a little breakdown of films and dates.
Although booking is not essential, we would strongly recommend it to secure a seat. All Slovak films will have English subtitles.
